BENEFITS OF OBTAINING A WORKING HOLIDAY
- Stay: Stay up to 12 months in the country from the date of arrival.
- Travel: Once you have entered the country and the visa has been activated, you cannot travel outside the country, in the case of departure, you will have to obtain a special re-entry permit before leaving.
- Work: Participants in this program are allowed to work as an incidental activity to their vacation in order to supplement their travel funds. They are strictly prohibited from working in bars, cabarets, nightclubs, gambling establishments and other premises affecting public morals in Japan. If a participant works at such a location, he or she is considered to be in violation of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and will face deportation, except where he or she is considered to be a victim of human trafficking.
- Studies: You can study for a maximum of 3 months. As long as it is not the main reason for the stay.
- Send all the documents of the previous point by e-mail to the consular office that corresponds to you by territorial circumscription.
- Once they have analyzed your data, they will call you to set up an appointment. On the day of the appointment you will need to bring all original documents for comparison. If everything is correct, the consular office will issue the visa the same day.
The visa is free of charge.
